Remember the buttons from my grandmas attic?

I used them to make an easy and very quick bracelet.

All you need is some elastic band and buttons.

And done is the quick and easy button-bracelet. :))

Treasures from grandmas attic

I’m visiting my grandma and because I have this secret treasure hunter in me I went on the attic searching for useful stuff.
I found many buttons, I guess it is because she used to sew a lot.
Here are some impressions:

I don’t know yet what to do with them. But I’m thinking jewelry and pimping my clothes. Got any ideas?
Also I found some fabrics:

Maybe I’m going to do the clutch I wanted to do for quite some time.
What do you think?

Long time no see

Hello my dear followers,

these last weeks I had a lot of exams, I’m so sorry for not posting anything :(

So now to the real disaster, last weekend I drove home because the next month I have my semester break. And what did I forget?? All my diying stuff :(( So I’m not sure what to blog this month. I guess I will be doing more recipes like this and maybe more fashion stuff, at least all my (possibly) successful shopping tours.

My best diying tip for this summer are bracelets. Make your own arm party with lots of bracelets!! :))

DIY Shorts with lace

Shorts with lace

You might remember how I cut off an old pair of jeans from a second-hand shop (here).

Now I decided to give them a new look. Therefor I used some lace.

First step was to cut the pants very short.

Then I put the lace-border on the border and pinned it with needles.

Now try it on, if it fits start sewing. Since I do not have a sewing machine of my own I sewed it with my hands. But for everyone who has one, use it, it is quicker and more neatly. I used a transparent thread, because I didn’t want my inaccurate sewing to be seen :D

Here is my finished product :)

Hope you like it :)

Frozen Yoghurt

Frozen Yoghurt

Recipe for a refreshing frozen yoghurt:

  • yoghurt
  • sugar/honey
  • lemon juice
  • lemon peel
  • vanilla sugar/ extract

It depends on how much you want to make. I used about 750 g yoghurt, 50 g sugar + 20 g honey, the juice and peel of one lemon and some vanilla extract.

Mix all the ingredients and put your bowl in your freezer. Stir about every hour, depends on your freezers temperature, for about 4-5 hours.

Frozen Yoghurt

Raspberry Muffin

I love raspberry’s, they are my all time favorite fruits. And they are so easy to handle, you can use the frozen and much cheaper one for almost everything. So here is one of my favorite muffin recipes. It is enough for roughly 14 muffins.

  • 250 g flour
  • 3 TL backing powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 8 tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • 150 g Yoghurt
  • about 250 g frozen raspberry’s

1. Mix the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, oil and Yoghurt to a smooth mass

2. Now mix the flour and backing powder. Put the flour mass little by little in your egg mass, mix it to a smooth pastry.

3. Then put the frozen raspberry’s in your pastry.

4. Fill your backing dish with your pastry.

5. Bake your Muffins for roughly 25 minutes (make the chopstick test), the temperature should be about 180°C.

You can find the original recipe in german here.

DIY Pearl Bracelet

New Bracelet Tutorial, because you can never have too many bracelets (if you do make them as a present)! :)

How to make the other two bracelets here and here.

What you need:

  • Thread
  • Pearls
  • scissors
  • Tape (optional)

This bracelet is very easy and quick to make:

1. Cut two strands from your thread, length ~ 3xwrist.

2. Make a knot at the top of your 2 strands, leaving enough thread for your clasp.

3. Put your pearl on one of your strands, then thread the other strand through the same pearl.

4. Repeat this until your reached your desired length and make a knot.

5. As a clasp I used this technique, but you can you use something different as well.

And your new bracelet is finished :)

Tutorial für ein neues Armband, von denen kann man nie genug haben (falls du doch zu viele hast, Freundinnen freuen sich immer sehr über so ein Armband)! :)

Was du brauchst:

  • Faden
  • Perlen
  • Schere
  • Tesa (optional)

1. Schneide deinen Faden in zwei Stücke, Länge ~ 3xHandgelenk
